Entry requirements
• A valid passport with a validity of more than six months from the date of departure from Mexico is required.
• Round-trip airline ticket (preferably printed).
Mandatory taxes
• VISITAX: Tourist Tax to be paid by all foreign tourists (Approximately 10 EUR). Payment can be made at the time of booking the trip or even during the stay, as long as it is done before leaving the country. Payment can also be made through the website https://www.visitax.gob.mx/sitio/. To prove payment, tourists will need to present the digital document using a QR code provided by the system after payment is made.
• Environmental Fee: All guests of accommodation services are subject to this payment, and they must pay the corresponding amount at the hotel reception where they are staying. Payment can be made in the national currency (Mexican peso) or with a credit/debit card. The amounts are:
- From April to June: $13 MXN per room per night
- From July to December: $26 MXN per room per night
