Entry requirements
• It is necessary to present a passport with a validity of more than six months from the date of departure from Mexico.
• Round-trip airline ticket (preferably printed)
Mandatory taxes
• VISITAX: Tourist Tax to be paid by all foreign tourists (Approximately 10 EUR)
Payment can be made at the time of booking the trip or even during the stay, as long as it is done before leaving the country. Payment can also be made through the website https://www.visitax.gob.mx/sitio/
To prove the payment, tourists will have to present the digital document through a QR code that will be provided by the system after the payment is made.
• Environmental Tax: All clients of accommodation services are subject to this payment, and they must pay the corresponding amount at the hotel reception where they are staying, in national currency (Mexican peso) or with a credit/debit card. The amounts are:
- From April to June, it is $13 MXN per room per night
- From July to December, it is $26 MXN per room per night
