Cabin Bag Dimensions for Each Airline

Depending on the airline you are flying with, the dimensions of your carry-on bag must adhere to the specifications set by the airline to be accepted as hand luggage.
Ryanair Cabin Bag Dimensions
Currently, Ryanair allows for a small personal bag that must fit under the seat in front of you. A backpack or sports bag is usually the best option for this. However, if you purchase priority boarding – available at the time of booking or later – you are allowed to take two pieces of luggage: a backpack and a cabin bag, in addition to priority boarding. Your Ryanair cabin bag should not exceed 10 kg and must measure 55 cm (length) x 40 cm (width) x 20 cm (depth).
TAP Cabin Bag Dimensions
If you are flying with TAP in Economy Class, the airline no longer includes checked baggage. If you do not want to pay for checked baggage, you can carry a cabin bag with dimensions of 55 cm (length) x 40 cm (width) x 20 cm (depth) and a maximum weight of 10 kg. Additionally, you can carry one personal item (such as a laptop bag, purse, or duty-free shopping bag) up to 2 kg at no extra cost. If your TAP cabin bag exceeds the allowed dimensions or weight, the airline will charge for excess baggage: starting from 70€ on domestic, European, and Moroccan flights, or from 85€ for international flights.
EasyJet Cabin Bag Dimensions
EasyJet defines their cabin bag with slightly smaller dimensions than usual. When flying with easyJet, you can carry a small cabin bag with a maximum size of 45 cm (length) x 36 cm (width) x 20 cm (depth) and 15 kg. The airline also offers the option, through an upgrade to your booking, to bring an easyJet cabin bag with dimensions of 56 cm (length) x 45 cm (width) x 25 cm (depth).
Don’t Forget:
Carry-on bag dimensions include wheels and handles.
If your bag is not rigid, be mindful of its volume, as it must comply with depth measurements. You may often be asked to fit your bag into a box at the boarding gate to ensure it meets the required dimensions.
Place items that support the weight of the rest of the luggage, such as shoes, at the bottom of the bag, near the wheels.
Rolling clothes helps to save space and reduces wrinkles.
To open your bag more easily, place less weight on one side.
Place your liquids bag at the top of the carry-on for easier access during airport security.
You can check each airline’s official website to confirm if there have been any changes to the required dimensions.
